BALSALL COMMON

This project involved the conversion of an old Victorian building, previously used as a veterinary clinic, to a new family home. A full rear extension was planned with a view of reconfiguring the ground floor to incorporate this.

My brief included providing floorplan options for the kitchen and open plan living/dining space. The clients were previously pastry chefs and required a kitchen design that catered for this continued passion as well as their adult family and large circle of friends. The clients wanted to retain some features of the property such as a large haberdashery cupboard and curved ceiling to the rear.

Alongside the scale drawings, concept boards and sourcing recommendations I provided full lighting and electrics plans.

I worked hard to maximise the space, making it as flexible as possible whilst embracing their eclectic style and creating a home that was both beautiful and durable.
